Membership
The Worcester District Medical Society is pleased to represent and serve our members. We are the organized voice for physicians and medical student members in Central Massachusetts and are committed to unite and educate the community. We are one of twenty districts in the state and the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) is our parent organization. In addition to our regular membership, we offer different levels of membership for students, residents/fellows, seniors and groups. And members’ spouses can belong to the Worcester District Medical Society Alliance. The WDMSA also organizes educational and social events.
By joining the MMS, you automatically become a WDMS member, as a Central Massachusetts resident. In addition to the benefits you get as an MMS member, the WDMS sponsors medical education events (including CMEs), opportunities to become involved in public health projects and have a robust Medical Student Scholarship Program. Among our many activities, we work with our region’s elected officials on legislation, host a medical television program Health Matters, and the Society’s official bi-monthly medical magazine Worcester Medicine is circulated to over 5,000 readers. Finally. we have nineteen committees all dedicated to providing resources and support for our members and guests and there are opportunities to get involved.
